Scalloped Flange (OMN: No. 304)
D
ating from mid 1899, this plain line displays knurled bands. An early mention of Scalloped Flange can be found in the Bawo and Dotter Bulletin on August 1, 1899 and is described as "a very low priced line...[with] an imitation etched bankd pressed into each piece, which is quite an innovation in cheap glass." Most Scalloped Flange pieces are found in Crystal, although a very few pieces are found in Chocolate and Nile Green. There are an abundance of fragments found at the old factory site, but a Butler Brothers catalog shows the Chocolate Vase being made at McKee and Brothers Glass Works.
